Urban Music Crown is a unique online competition to find the next star of UK urban music. Applicants apply by submitting their material along with images and bio for judges to vote on all three aspects – Image, musical ability and individuality.
In July the ten finalists will be announced in Urban Music Crown website. The winner will be announced in September every year. Judges have been announced UB40 Legend Ali Campbell, Soul II Soul Founder Jazzie B, Shola Ama & UK Garage legend DJ EZ are already confirmed. Some famous names have already entered the competition including Rachel Hylton from X-Factor 2008, Darnell Swallow from BB9 and Alize Levy – daughter of Reggae star Barrington Levy. The price is very impresive. It includes the Coveted Urban Music Crown Trophy; 12 Month PR & Management contract from Riot PR; 12 Month £1000 website package from Chunky Frog™ Design Ltd; exposure to A&R Contacts at major record labels.
