Press Day At Mania Mia

Today I attended Press Day at Mania Mia and checked A/W 2013 Collections of New York Fashion Labels: Danilo Gabrielli, JUNGWON, Tess Johnson, Furansu and The Hip Tee. They all are very different but all will find place in modern day woman’s closet.
Danilo Gabrielli presents “Glam Gothic” collection which is inspired by the Medieval Period dominated by the Kings and Queens of the era. Heavily influenced by fine wools, leather, gold, silver and fur.
JUNGWON presents something what modern ladies are very much in need and especially the ones like me, living in London with this kind of crazy weather – perfect jacket. JUNGWON  aims to give secure protection and comfort to one who wear. It’s worth to mention that all fabric choice is waterproof, windproof, breathable and light weight. Those jackets are very strong and resilient in any weather condition but still comfortable.
Tess Johnson’s inspiration for her clothes comes from the nature and in this particular collection from deep sea and you can clearly see it in the unique prints and inspiring textures. Her clothes are draped on the body, allowing the fabric to work with the shapes of a body – not against it. Saffron, member of legendary band Republica was inspired by Tess Johnson’s design and tried few jackets. You can see her in one of the pictures.
The Hip Tee is new concept of t-shirts with a strong vintage design. They aged appearance, with completely manual process.
Furansu inspired me with the colors. I’m glad somebody decided to use bright colors for autumn/winter collection. They quit minimalistic with cool feminine shapes and geometric forms. By the way Furansu actually is label from Holland.

I believe you easily will recognize collections in the pictures. Enjoy 🙂
