The Guardian picked up this band as one of their bands of the day (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/oct/28/new-band-muchuu). I would like to present today brother-sister cutie-indie duo for you. It’s Muchuu.
The name ‘Muchuu’ – pronounced “Moo-chew” – comes from Milky’s love of all things Japanese. It means to be in an ecstatic delirious trance or dream.
Milky is the lead singer and lyricist. She used to be scared of singing, but gave it a go and now she’s getting used to it! She writes lyrics about dreams, magic and nature, the happy and sad things she sees on her adventures, imagination and escapism. She also loves coming up with melodies and ideas for new songs!
George is the music master of the band. He started playing piano when he was seven and likes keyboards and synths. Milky is amazed by his skills! He makes and mixes all the music on his laptop, sings harmonies and writes melodies.
